Airmen volunteer abroad during Commando Sling
By 18th Wing Public Affairs
Airmen from Kadena Air Base recently returned from performing exercise Commando Sling in Singapore. F-15s and Airmen from the 67th Fighter Squadron, 67th Aircraft Maintenance Unit and other maintenance group units spent a month flying alongside their Singapore counterparts.
In addition to generating and flying sorties, the Airmen had a chance to give back to the community that hosted them through volunteer community service projects.
While the 67th Fighter Squadron went to the International Christian School, the maintenance side of the house went to the Archdiocesan Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants & Itinerant People’s training center. The center provides livelihood-skills training to more than 200 students.
The airmen returned with this brief photo essay of their volunteer community service projects.
